Introduction
To me abstraction means a picture that you can't tell what it is or how it was made, but you know that it is something is there and that to someone it might mean something like a picture of a family member might just be a picture to someone but to a different person it might make them remember something they did. But to everyone abstraction can mean something different because you can think of it how you want.
Pinterest is a good website to use to look a abstraction or other styles of photograph and art

In this image the shadows stands out and it shows that this is an artificial light and you can tell that it is because of how the colour looks

Abstract photos
In this task we had to go around school and take photos that where abstract.
It was difficult to forget about the object and concentrate on abstraction. These photos are more blurry and not in focus because I had to close up. Some of them have the same colour.
The image on the right has been a highlight because I think that the image came out good and there is the light in the background and it make the leaves stand out more and the colours of the leaves and the tree bark. The formal elements that I have captured are light, focus, colour and shape. The photographs that I have taken are abstract because you can't tell what it is. I think that abstract photos are different because most photographer aim to get there image in focus and not out of focus like the abstract photo. |

This photo is abstract because you cant tell what the photo is of or what it is meant to be and it is made up like a collage to confuse you so you cant tell what it is. this photo was made up of blue paint and cut up photo stuck together.

How would you describe the image? I would describe the image as complex because how he arranges the photos What would you call it? I would call it an abstract collage A collage or a photogram? A collage How do you think that this image was created? Give reasons for your answers. I think he did that cutting up photos and putting them in a jumbled arrange to create a collage. What do you think about the composition? I think that the composition of the image was different because most of the image is black and white, but there is also a bit of colour in the image What about the use of colour? I think that the use of colour is sparse What can you say about the use of text or the absence of an image? The text of the How would you describe the overall look of the image? I think that the overall look of the image looks abstract Do you find it inspiring? If so how so? I find it inspiring because it is very simple to do and you can make it how ever you want |
patrick lear said on his website that it takes sometime for his collages to form and to find inspiration
I picked this photo because of the abstraction of the light on the glass makes it so where you can really see where the light is and it add depth to the photo. Also the colours are warm and cold and the glass help fuse them together and makes it blend in well. as well there are some formal element like tone, light and contrasts. i also picked this photo because this of the formal elements in it and because the glass it blurring out the light and the surrounding area and because the photo is blurry it adds tone to the image

abstraction collage
These are the collages that I made in lesson and they were made by cutting up different photos and some coloured paper and i stuck them together in random yet organised places, also i layered the photos and cut up random shapes. i mostly used black and white cut up pieces of photograms, but I did use some green card to add some colour to the collages.

We had to copy the image on the left by mirroring the drawing.
